Our Paralegal Program is accredited by the Law Society of Ontario (LSO) and combines specialized instruction and an intensive field-related practicum to prepare you for a career path in legal services. Our curriculum is designed to give you the skills and knowledge needed to pass the LSO licensing exam to practice as an independent paralegal.
You will learn to prepare legal documents, open and organize files, perform legal research and represent clients in Small Claims Court, Administrative Tribunals and the Ontario Court of Justice for provincial and criminal matters. Our program focuses on the areas of the law that you’ll encounter in your role as a licensed paralegal, including Corporate, Business, Tort, Contract, Real Estate, Family and Immigration Law. A 125-hour work placement gives you the opportunity to put your legal skills into practice, giving you the confidence, insight and experience you need to succeed in the future.
