Our Police Foundations program prepares you to pursue a career path in various policing agencies across Canada. Taught by instructors with experience in policing and criminal justice, this program provides you with exceptional training and insight into a rewarding but challenging field. Employment opportunities can be found in customs and immigration, custody and correctional services, and both federal and provincial law enforcement agencies.

Throughout the program, you’ll gain skills in community policing, interviewing and investigation, conflict management, report writing, investigation principles and much more. You will also learn more about contemporary social problems, youth in conflict, diversity, First Nations Peoples, criminal and civil law and communication to strengthen your understanding of societal issues that affect the communities you will police. You’ll get experience and gain experience through community engagement, assisting police services or performing security detail.
