Our Pharmacy Technician diploma program is accredited by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP). You will have the skills and training needed to pursue opportunities in hospitals, retail pharmacies, long-term care facilities, mental health facilities, mail-order pharmacies and more.
You will learn to work under the supervision of a pharmacist to receive and confirm prescription orders, interact with customers and answer their questions, manage inventory, maintain patient profiles and much more. You will gain an extensive knowledge of pharmacology, pharmaceutical calculations, compounding, pharmacy law, aseptic techniques and much more. Our program also prepares you to take the steps required to become a regulated pharmacy technician, including completing Structured Practical Training (SPTs) or Practice Assessment of Competence at Entry (PACE), the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) Provincial Jurisprudence exam, the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) qualifying exams, and obtaining personal professional liability insurance.
